Hey Parents and Students,

My name is Mrs. Thomason and I am privileged to be the Music Teacher at Hernando Hills.  This is my nineteenth year to teach music in the Desoto County Schools.

My first 13 years were at Greenbrook Elementary in Southaven. When I first went to Greenbrook in the fall of 1993, I taught music for grades K - 6.

In the spring of 2006, Mrs. Gilder asked me to come to Hernando Hills and help start a brand new school.  I am so thankful that I came.  It has been so wonderful working with the parents and children in the Hernando area.

My family and I moved to Southaven in April 1978 and our children attended and graduated from Southaven schools. We have a son, Jay and his wife Natalie and their two precious boys, Jackson, 7 and Nicholas, 3 years old.  We have a daughter, Polly and her husband Bruce Clay.

My husband, Ralph and I have been married for 45 years.  He is a computer technician and a Minister of Music at Whitehaven Baptist Church in Memphis.

I received my Bachelor of Music Education degree from Mississippi College in Clinton, MS in 1966.  Through the years I have been the pianist and the Children's Choir Coordinator in the churches we have served.

I have taught private piano lessons. F
or 14 years I  taught four year old Kindergarten at Carriage Hills Baptist Church.

I love music and I love to teach children.  Therefore, I feel so very blessed to be teaching your children.

If there is any way that I can be of help to you, contact me any time.

"Sing"cerely,
Mrs. Thomason
