Timbre Tigers Choir

Auditions:   Monday, August 20th from 3:00 – 4:30pm

Students will remain after school and report to the gym to receive their audition number. A movie will be provided while they wait for their number to be called. Auditions are held privately in the music room with Mrs. Weiss. Parents, please arrive promptly at 4:30 p.m. to pick-up your child in the car rider line. Car rider tags are appreciated and will help expedite pick-up.

What to Prepare:

30 second selection from a song of students’ choosing sung acapella (without music). Students may also be asked to sing “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” if further         evaluation is needed.

Evaluation will be based on the following criteria: good tone quality, good projection, staying on key, good diction, and confidence. Personal behavior and responsibility will also be taken into account. The Timbre Tigers Choir is meant to represent the best ambassadors of HHES. The choir will be comprised of approximately 50 students.

Before auditioning, please consider the following requirements of those accepted:

·         Rehearsals will be every Tuesday and Thursday morning from 7:10-7:40 a.m. (excluding holidays, snow days, and school breaks). Students are expected to arrive on time.

·         Students are allowed only one unexcused absence per month. Any absence can be excused with a parent email/text if it is received prior to rehearsal. Students who do not adhere to the attendance policy will be removed from the choir.

Results :

Every student who auditions will receive an individual letter with the outcome of their    audition as soon as possible, but no later than Friday, August 24th, 2018.

The Timbre Tigers choir will be a fun-filled experience, which will require hard work and dedication; one that I believe will benefit your child greatly. I look forward to hearing your child sing! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at
