Teacher Note

Parents,

We have reach the home stretch of the year. This is the time of year where students tend to loose focus. Please stress to your child the importance to remaining focus. We are reviewing heavily for the state MAAP test that will be given in the next few weeks. The Literacy-Based Promotion Act requires all third grade students to pass the reading assessment in order to qualify for promotion to fourth grade regardless of their grades. Therefore, it is vital that they are at school, pay attention, and complete their assignments at school and the home.

Date for the MAAP:

4/16                Reading              8:15

4/23                 Writing            11:15

4/25                  Math               8:15 and 12:00

Please be on time and no early check-outs on these days if possible.
