Extra, Extra, Read All About It!

March 30-April 3

I hope you guys had a great weekend!  Can you believe it's almost April?!

We are gearing up for our first FULL week of distance learning.  We have added another resource for you called i-Ready.  The login instructions are included in a link at the top of this page.  We are trying to provide you with as many resources as possible, but remember- just do what you can!

TRY TO AT LEAST REACH THESE 3 DAILY GOALS:

1. Read for 30 minutes-Epic!, Readworks, Classworks, a book at home, etc.

2. Work on at least 2 math skills a day- IXL, math facts, math card games, a practice page provided, Classworks, i-Ready, etc.

3. Daily writing prompt

Daily Writing Prompts:

Monday- If I could be any Disney character, I would want to be....

Tuesday- Choose one superpower- invisibility, the ability to fly, or the ability to read minds.  Which one would you choose to have?  Why?

Wednesday- Pretend you are stranded on an island.  You are writing a message in a bottle asking for help.  What does your message say?

Thursday- An alien knocked on your front door!  What did you do?!

Friday- If you could travel to anywhere in the world right now, where would you want to go?

*One thing that I want you to focus on is the mental health of your child.  This is scary. They haven't seen friends or been away from home much.  I'm certain that you are aware of this, but it's easy to get caught up in the frustration and stresses of everything that is coming our way right now (at least it is in the Minor home!).  Please talk with your kids.  Give extra hugs. Play games.  Strengthen your bond.  They are little people with big feelings.  Let's find the silver lining here together.  :) *
