ABOUT THE TEACHER:

Education

I have attended many schools over the years, but I received my degree from Western Governors University.  I am a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor society for the past 10 years.  I was lucky enough to do my student teaching right here at HHES, and my prayers were answered when I was offered a position teaching third grade.  I truly love working with these kids and I hope I am able to continue in this profession for many years to come!

Bio

I moved from Arizona to Mississippi with my family in 2012, and we discovered Hernando purely by accident.  For that I am eternally grateful!  It has been a huge adjustment for all of us, but we have come to call Hernando home.  I feel blessed to have been invited to be a part of the Hernando Hills Elementary School family, and I look forward to the years ahead.

I have been happily married to an amazing man for the past 15 years.  We have 2 children (Alec - 10th grade, and Jenna-9th grade) who have filled my life with joy and wonder.  As I believe is true with most high school boys these days, Alec is a complete gamer.  He can do things on the X-Box that completely blow my mind.  He also plays on the HHS Football Team.  Jenna is into gymnastics and cheer, and she is one of the very talented HHS cheer squad this year.

Weekly Assignments

Parents remember this schedule is just to help you pace out the assignments for the week. It also helps to not feel like you have to spend all day working on one assignment. Your student does not have to follow this schedule absolutely and may complete assignments at whatever pace you would like. No work is being graded, but instead monitored. Your child can also be reading, writing, or practicing any skills that have been taught this year.

Please use the links found under your teacher's picture to complete your assignments.

Miss You All!

I hope you are all staying safe and healthy during this school closure.  I miss you and I hope we get back to school soon.

I will be sending out assignments each week that we are home, and you can feel free to do as much or as little as you want, and as you feel your child needs.  If you have any questions about the assignments, please feel free to contact me via email, Remind, or text.  I am here for you!

There are lots of resources out there that you can use if you want to do more that what I am providing.  This is a crazy time for all of us, but we have to make the best of it, and each of you has to do what works for you and your children.
