Welcome to Mrs. Word's class!

Hello! My name is Mariann Word.  I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year.  I would like to tell you a little bit about myself.  I am from DeSoto County.  I am married to my husband, Chris, and we have two children.  Our daughter is 8 and our son is 5. I enjoy spending time with my family and watching my daughter play competitive softball.

Education: I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at the University of Mississippi.

Experience: I have been teaching for 12 years.  I have taught both 1st and 2nd grade.
